Frequently asked questions
The questions we get asked most about AiMovie membership, playback and sources.
What is AiMovie?
AiMovie is a membership search and discovery engine that aggregates results from several third-party public source sites, covering movies, TV series, variety shows, and audiobooks. It stores no media files.
Is AiMovie an AI movie or video generator?
No. AiMovie does not generate, edit, or produce films; AiMovie is the brand name. It is a multi-source search and discovery tool for movies, TV series, variety shows, and Chinese audiobooks.
Is AiMovie a licensed streaming service?
No. AiMovie has no fixed licensed catalogue like Netflix, Disney+, or iQIYI. It only aggregates third-party source-site results and does not guarantee their licensing status, continued availability, resolution, or subtitles.
How much does AiMovie cost?
Annual membership is a one-time ¥50 payment for a full year and does not auto-renew, with no additional per-view charges. Eligible new accounts receive one 7-day trial.
The fee covers server and bandwidth costs.
Which payment methods are supported?
Bank card, Alipay and WeChat Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Why does search require a membership?
Search and playback are both member features requiring a registered, active account. Every search fans out to several third-party sources in parallel, and membership keeps that server and bandwidth cost sustainable.
Is media stored on AiMovie servers?
No. Video segments and audio streams travel directly from the third-party origin CDN to your browser and never pass through AiMovie servers.
Only the small playlist file and decryption key are relayed. AiMovie stores, uploads and transcodes no video, audio, or images.
What if a source fails to play?
The video player switches to the next available source automatically. If every source fails, press "Search more sources" on the player page. For audiobooks, multiple audio sources are provided for alternative streaming.
Third-party source links rotate and expire; that is normal for an aggregator. Multi-source switching exists for exactly this reason.
Which devices are supported?
AiMovie is a web app and runs in modern desktop and mobile browsers with no client to install. Video playback uses HLS, and the audiobook player supports mobile responsive tabs and lock screen media controls.
How do I register and sign in?
Register with an email address and password. You can reset a forgotten password by email, and passwordless email magic-link sign-in is also supported.
Who do I contact about copyright?
AiMovie only provides search results from third-party websites and stores no images, audio, or video. Copyright reports currently use the in-app "Contact support" form and require a registered, signed-in account; include the work, rights basis, and exact query or page URL.
